The commencement of duties for the New Year 2022 was taken place on 03rd January 2022 at the Headquarters of Ceylon Electricity Board.
These activities were carried out in accordance with the instructions of the government to ensure the health and safety of the employees, as well as the public gathering was minimized.
After the religious observances, the National Flag was hoisted by Mr. M. M. C. Ferdinando – the Chairman of CEB, and the CEB Flags were hoisted by Eng. M.R. Ranatunga – the General Manager of CEB and Mr. T K Liyanage – the Finance Manager of CEB, symbolizing the commencement of duties for the New Year.
Later, the National Anthem and CEB Song were played, and a group of Senior Officials of the Ceylon Electricity Board also participated in this occasion. Further, the Public Service Affirmation/Oath was done at each and every office premises of CEB Division/Branch/Unit island-wide in precedence of the head of the institution.
